2011 FALL MINI-HUNT FOLLOW-UP
The GSTH fall mini-hunt was held at Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis on October 8, 2011. This year, our club president Mike James volunteered to be the Huntmaster. Dwayne Hatzenbeller assisted with coin purchases and prize distributions. This was not a seeded hunt, and prizes were determined by what members found during the hunt. The hunt was for GSTH
members only. The prize for most coins found was an 1882-S Morgan Silver Dollar. Both Fred Thompson and Jerry Loose found 98 coins, so they flipped a coin and Jerry won the prize. Other categories were most nickels, most unusual, best jewelry, & best coin. The Garrett Ace 150 detector donated by Tom Myrhe of Metal Detectors of Mpls was raffled off and the
winner was none other than Chuck Clausen. Congratulations Chuck! A buffet of great food brought by each member was enjoyed after the hunt.
